TIE Fighter total conversion, looking awesome!

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I think they're just going to get hit with a copyright hammer and that'll be it, like maybe other great devs who tried to remaster their favourite classics before.
It does look amazing, though I Tie Fighter is one of my favourite games of all times. I actually spend more time with it than with Elite 2 and Privateer combined.

I fear that, hopefully not because it's not a stand alone rip off of content, but needs a Star Wars game to play it.
I loved that game. Capital ships as battle backdrop. Turbolasers unleashed. My T/F screaming towards the rebel ragtag rabble and dreaming of the day I would earn the spurs to fly a T/I.
Anyway. It's gonna need Disney's blessings, but they gave it to EA and EA wont see nothing of it. They already crushed another SW fan project iirc.

I remember the mission when I was jumped by the traitor Imperials, such an awesome story moment! Did disney get all of Lucasarts back catalogue? Because they could see some revenue from people getting XWAlliance on Steam/GOG etc to play this.
