OP, you're doing it all wrong.
Taken from 'World of War on the Thargoids Craft'
You need a tank, two healers, atleast one hybrid and a kiter.
Phase ONE is simply a kite and spank, the thargoid spams cleave at the tank every 0.5 seconds and anyone within 10km gets hit, the group needs to stay away and spread out. Phase TWO begins when the thargoid reaches 75% health, when he turns his attention on ONE of the healers, this is why you need two. He will incapacitate his target doing 8d 4 damage per second, so prepare for some burst healing. Everyone else is on DPS.
At 50% the thargoid will phase out, and everyone has to dps the vapor clouds. Once all have been killed, the thargoid will return and focus on the tank. There is wide area AOE damage now, and both healers have to be on the ball.
At 25% it's a tank and spank until the end, but in this phase, he will AOE spam, and incapacitate one randomly chosen target, again, it's why you need two healers just incase one gets taken out.
At 0% he starts to cast Thargon Detonation. All players must be atleast 2LY away otherwise the Nova means instant death.
I think there's a Thargoid mount that drops. It's quite rare though. I have only ever seen it once, in a screenshot.
Hope this helps!
