Time to decide where I spend my cash

With the 1.6 update imminent and all that it brings, I am left with a hard choice.
Do I?
A) buy an elite controller
Or
B) buy a XCM supernova crossover adapter which not only allows you use keyboard and mouse but also allows you to bind button combos to a single key and also has support for 2 different flight sticks, the saitek cyborg F.l.y 5 and also a Logitech model (both have the built in throttles instead of separate so can't have it all)

To me A) is the safer bet by B) would be possibly more immersive.

Thoughts?

I did not know that B) is a thing. B) 100% all the way if it exists and works.

C.) wait until we see exactly what kind of control customizability we actually get, then decide.

I have the elite controller, but it simply allows you to remap existing buttons to the paddles (MS restriction). Not sure if that will change with 1.6.

Same with the adapter, even getting a HOTAS, you'll be limited to mapping the few XBox controller buttons to it and that's primarily all.

Elite Controller, because both those flight sticks have horrible built-in throttles, which is a ##### to use. I have the Cyborg. Eww.

Trust me, Xbox Controller > built in throttles.

A HOTAS needs to be modular & used at a desk to be good.

I don't know, it seems to me it shouldn't be too hard to create an app or firmware for the Xbox to allow PC controllers to work, I mean, the os is based on windows 10 after all, but in the mean time I'm stuck looking for alternatives, to which there are few mainstream ones
