Time to make the Big Journey

Hello fellow explorers,

So I finally schlepped enough canisters, scanned enough planets, turned in enough missions, and killed enough NPCs in my career to afford an exploraconda. Build if intersted: I decided my next goal is to make the pilgrimage to Beagle Point. Along the way, I will stop at Jaques to drop over 200T of MAs.

I plan on being out for at least a couple of months, plenty of time for patch 2.2 (maybe even 2.3) to drop by the time I return.

It will be nice exploring for fun and purpose instead of focusing on ELWs, AWs and WWs simply for explorer rank gain. I'm 70% of the way through Pioneer right now, and I have no doubt I will be Elite when I get back (unless I return home in an escape pod). I plan on doing a fair amount of prospecting, especially once the MAs have been delivered and the DSS gets the buff to show what materials can be found on a given planet.

My previous distance record was Sadge, so this will be my first time into the northern half of the galaxy. I look forward to it (once I have filled my cargo hold full of MAs).

If you put the B rated AFMU's on because they have more ammo, don't; they repair less per unit of ammo, and the A rated units of the same class will repair overall more damage. Also, if you put a 6A scoop for financial reasons, know that a 7B is cheaper and better, and you certainly won't need a 128t cargo rack out there :)

I figured it didn't really matter, since I can synthesize more ammo. I'm not really sure why I did that, but it's too late now. I'm stocking up on MAs and I don't want to go back to the bubble with a cargo hold full of MAs!
