Time to remind wing's bounty hunting

At the 2.1 launch livestream David Braben said that Elite is not PvP game, its about cooperative gameplay between players and I am totally support this idea.
But right now we haven't much options for wings gameplay:

Exploration - works fine: sharing data between wingmates, full profit per person
Trading - works fine: not so boring, full profit per person and trading dividends!
Combat - works weird: sharing data and profit between wingmates?

Ok, from the logical view it make sense, bounty is a fixed value, it cuts on pieces for each person, taking part in fight. But in fact if we will not join to wing we will get full price on each person in action. From this perspective been in a wing its a punishment!
Making full profit per person for bounty hunting is a healthy decision to support wing gameplay. More of that, such a nice idea with trading dividends can be applied for bounty hunting as well as exploration. It can really populate OPENplay to give random players reason to join in the wing for some proper PvE. According to this NPC spawn rate can be depends on how many persons in the wing and their combat ratings to scale difficulty and profit income properly.

With improvements we got with AI update it so valuable to have support from wingmates, so FD, please, support wing gameplay now, while we waiting wing mission system.

Have been waiting for this functionality since the release of wings. While with the increased difficulty now it might actually pay more to have one wingman in order to kill the harder enemies faster.
But as soon as there are at least 3 people in a wing, payments go down so much I only do this because it is fun, not because it pays well. I like your point that this actively discourages team play unlike trading or exploring.

If that is what David thinks than he probably should have prioritized more tools to allow players to organize into groups. But he didn't do that so at present, no, the game is not really about playing cooperatively, even wings existing feel like a stop gap, they barely function, there are for instance still, still, instancing issues. And, of course, wings don't help you meet or organize. No amount of saying it is will make it so, because at present people are organizing in-spite of the game and not because of it. It's a shame really.

If that's what he wants I would certainly applaud movement in that direction, as the devs make the game the think will be the most fun. Maybe he thinks cooperative in the sense that people in their own little bubbles on the server can effect the background sim. In which case... um, okay, that's nice.

Would Frontier be interested in wings in any way, they would've used one of the two reworks of the mission system since wings was launched to also include group missions. Not doing so is a clear message, i would say.

Don't hold your breath for any upgrade to wings, my magic 8 ball says, it won't happen any more this milennium.
