Time to remove BGS exploits

And you can still mix and match actions with the BGS too. Certain combinations now can boost factions very quickly and put them on a very advantageous footing when wars become pending. As far as security elimination, on a 1.5 billion pop system I found that after killing 50 security I moved 1.5%, with 100 it moved 1.7% and 150 1.8%. It could have been how ED rounds things up or down, but it became very difficult for a single commander to do much more. I think once crime and punishment come into force this will attenuate murder with the BGS as it will become much more difficult to fly unmolested. For example I was hostile to the Feds but all Federal aligned stations still let me dock, which I found disappointing.

That's because it was 1.5 billion...not because murder is fine.

In fact, 50 ships to do 1.5% in 1,5 billion is exactly the problem.

However, I don't know whether FD can actually punish people properly. This patch started including naval response to murder. What this did for those who murder against us was to actually make them faster, not slower in that regard. So it's even more damage to remedy now. (thank FD)

Wow, i knew murder was effective, but not sooo effective. I'm gonna go on a murder spree somewhere.... in solo.

Ill just pick a system at random..... hmm.... Okinura looks good! [big grin]

So today we have been dragged to a war in a not so important system thanks to the emergent gameplay of the EDF.

For the sake of showing everyone how effective murder is. We won't use 1 click bonds. However, I do expect them to use murder.

This will give you an insight to the expectation they have by calling it an exploit while pretending that murder is fine.

So the ball is on your field EDF. Choose your method of engagement.

War is just another form of murder. Don't expect me to throw with farting space unicorns in a CZ.

Too bad we're not discussing roleplaying here.

Thank you for admitting that you are using the obviously stronger choice, albeit indirectly.

Don't come crying "exploit" whenever you lose though.

You are always welcome at Okinura Fisher Terminal Is a great place to by ships and Bennett Gateway is a great place to fit one. But please come in open so we can give you a proper squadron mechanic welcome

If BGS evolves to being able to inhabit uninahbited Systems on Expansion then we will see a lot more opportunities for players when expansion becomes successfull and outposts
begin to grow to Orbis Starports, maybe including the generation of Community goals if the event allows it.

This. So much this. Repped.

Again the issue with murder has been addressed by frontier. And as far as strategy the Fleet will use all available game play mechanisms that we are allowed the difference between the EDF and others in this conflict is that we will do all of our work in OPEN without haveing to run to others to help us. That being said...

We will see hides behind walls and fights their own fights

Can you shup up about open already?

Literally all of your pvp-ers have lost to ours, both in equal scenarios and outnumbered. Go parrot your crap elsewhere.

Also, we showed a few pages back an image of your officer asking Adle's Armada to take care of PvP in order for you to play the BGS in private.

As long as you don't come to open and fill local chat with your insults and swearing just like that time when you came to our website and filled the shoutbox with them.

I always combined security retirement with other techniques, and on a good day, I could shift about 3%, depending on traffic.

But that's because you cause 1.5% loss and 1.5% gain for someone else.

It's just using both the gain and the loss cap against the same faction, doubling down in how much you damage it.

And those gains probably took more time than killing 50 security ships, which is the real focus of the discussion really, time vs effectiveness.

Did I hit a nerve???

It's not a big secret. You can bank exploration data, combat bonds, bounty vouchers, etc to benefit the faction you want.

However, there's already a daily cap on how much you can do. For example, 4 million worth of combat bounds.

So not an Exploit at all then. Just players being clever.

Think there's a modes forum for this, now that the hidden agenda is being discussed.

Don't beat around the bush, tell us how you really feel!

That depends- if you plan your activities you can kill two birds with one stone (excuse the pun)- at the start of a session I'd do a quick plan and maximise my time. While I was adjusting this system I was also doing the same for another 10 that day using a variety of methods to suit the system. Some would only need one or two eliminated, while others a mission or two.

TBH the thread has degenerated into two groups arguing with each other.

Time to take it elsewhere folks.

Closing.
