General / Off-Topic Time to replace my 17 year old 5.1 PC speakers?

So I've had my logitech 5.1 surround speaker system for around 17 years now. Basically the oldest tech i still use on my current gaming PC. So far I haven't noticed any degradation in sound quality. I also tend to use my much newer headset when I'm online with friends. Anyways, should I be considering a replacement for my speaker system soon? How long do speakers usually last?

Audio is always the last thing on my mind when it comes to upgrades.

Forever. I bought a fancy tape recorder some-when in the 70s with pretty decent stereo speakers. The tape recorder is dead for 30 years, the cables are new and the connectors have been changed three or four times to facilitate newer standards. But the speakers themselves... well, they sound just as great as they did 50 years ago.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ;)

See? :D

My main stereo speakers Mission (737s) were bought in 1986 still sound great as the front speakers in my AV setup.

BTW - I use a Logitech Z906 5.1 system on my PC and though it is obviously not as old as the OP's system, the performance of these compact speakers is quite surprisingly good.
