Having spent lots of time flying around and finally getting a Cobra put together, I have started to put creds together doing trade runs. Now it seems there are players lurking at every rare station waiting to ambush and kill. This is just no fun. So I am removing the game from my system and will accept the $60 real money loss. Sadly ED was starting to be enjoyable and relaxing to play. Then it changed so fast. I just do not understand how players get off on stealing and killing others. But that's me. Best wishes to you all the stars are no longer in my eyes.

Play solo like so many others, open play has little more to offer. Group play should be better with the new exp coming.

You know there is a solo mode right? seriously, if you want to relax and play the game without player griefing then play Solo, I do and it's just as much fun. Nothing gets more frustration than trying to sell off a good cargo for huge bank only to have some little person blow your ass to oblivion and you end up losing money and rage quitting or moaning on the forums about it.
Seriously, if you want to play open, then dont trade rares, its not a good way to make money now since its been nerfed to hell and all the rare planets are camped by 6 year olds. find a good set of planets, off the beaten track and trade between them, it's a huge galaxy out there and has losts of quiet spaces.

Ahh I remember the first time I was pked. 1991, I wrote a post on the mud board about how horrible it was and how it was ruining the game. Four years later I was the leading pker on the same game (which at the time had maybe 2000 players, huge numbers back then). The first time always stings.

Do not give up playing just because of these PK Squads. If you cannot play in one mode you have the choice to play in the other two modes. get a few friends together and join group mode.
Its only a game and those people will leave when they have nobody to pick on.

I find what you have said to be more offensive than the PK Squads. You may enjoy saying things like this to people in a bailing manor, but the rest of us know that we do not have to put up with it.
I realize only Frontier can answer this but I wonder what percent of the play base plays open? And not trade in solo until you feel like a fight types.
slightly off topic, but it would be nice to see how many people are On-line, also which mode people are in, and without insulting anybody as you have, what the average amount of players play daily.
As for the poster in general. Never give up something you enjoy, other wise you will only be sad, and they win.
