I'm playing. I think I'm okay with the new AI capability. I have not been okay with the NPC instancing since around 1.3 or 1.4 when it got interdiction happy. I want interdictions to be a surprise. Instead I get predictability. Bought a T-6, loaded it up with cargo. First jump "the rumors were true" I just rolled my eyes. I can avoid interdictions pretty well by just turning towards the ship while my FSD cools and charges (here comes the nerf)
Seems FD thinks combat is content. I disagree.
I have not really participated in CQC, power play, or engineers. Not even in the betas. Perhaps that is my problem with the game.
