I don't think they are easy, but they are just repetetiive because mansgement in PZ is very shallow.
Timed Scenarios are AWFUL and ruin the enjoyment of the game

Personally, I don't like the time-controlled scenarios either, but I also understand that you can't do it all right. Maybe you should set it up so that you first have to do them without time and then you can do them on time.

Im new to the game and I really like the animals and the zoo, they are really awesome! im very creative and like building too.
I tried several modes and I tried also career mode untill I got so many popups what I should do that it was annoying. So sometimes I quit the game because of all the timed problems. Why cant there be a mode that you can relax and build your zoo without this timing or pop ups what you have to do?
When im trying to fix several problems at one time as a newbie its difficult. I mean I want to make the zoo good working and beautiful and when im on my way to do that (when I see a problem with animals or otherwise) all those pop ups what I immediately should do making me stressed out (allthough im used to stress).
But in this game I want to enjoy what Im doing. When you are way further in the game all these challenges are great, but I really do think for newbees there should be a relax mode that gives you some orders like built a keeper hut and so on but without timing....
But hee I see so many great zoos, awesome! but they are from builders who are busy with the game for a much longer time...

That relax mode is in the game, it's called "Sandbox". Check it out some time!
I noticed that too, but on the other hand we are getting some new terrain maps like the one mentioned about Ulluru, so I guess these new maps replace one of the timed scenarios.On thew different note, isnt it weird we are getting just one timed scenario this time? One comes with the DLC, but the free update did not mentioned any. That is 1 less animal statue this time.
In honor of this thread I would like to post this image - i'm not sure I could have been any closer to missing out on gold on this one! It was the damn education - I realised it kept going down when they were leaving the zoo so I had to add a couple of extra exhibits etc. to keep them longer. Mwahahahaha!
Im playing timed scenarios at the moment and i need an animal with a 5 star rate. Any ideas how i can achieve this in just an hour of time for everything?

Some things that help are playing the game at fast speed, researching the animal to the maximum, getting the best welfare for the animal and getting animals that reproduce fast to increase chances.
Maybe thats my mistake. Played the game paused or on normal speed (for earning money). But besides spamming things everywhere i should have increased the speed to let time go faster.
Not really satisfying tbh.
Never ever pause the game in a timed scenario
. If you need a break open the save menu.nah, didnt pause it for a "break" from playing. Im just used to pause the game for building. Especially in franchise mode things can escalate very quickly when i dont pause the game while building new things.
A 5 star animal usually happens over time, it gains rating for offsprings produced as well as for how long it is in your zoo, so long life animals have a better chance to reach 5 stars. So yeah, as Aramar already said, it is better to not pause the game. In fact I use fast forward button alot in the timed scenarios. You wont fully enjoy the zoo, but it get the job done.
Look for animals with 4 stars already, that are already in your zoo, make sure they're fully researched, and Raise their nutrition to level 3 Food.
