Tiny Species, Hygiene, & Insectivores

I have toyed around with this idea for a while and given the direction JWE3 is heading in, I would like to iterate on this idea a little more. There has been a lot of concern about the tiny species and if they can breed or not, but it actually raises more questions that have lingered all the way back since we got the Compy in the first Evolution game. What makes them unique? What purpose do they serve when they are so small? I have some thoughts.

Hygiene

Not to recycle all of JPOG's ideas, but when looking for a purpose for Tiny species I feel an element of cleanliness may not be a bad idea as part of a species' environmental needs. Further, taking inspiration from Crichton's novels, the idea isn't all that far-fetched. Whilst JPOG extended this to guest management, a smaller inclusion for habit needs for your animals might be a better place to start. Primarily for your tiny therapods, why not make them an organic clean-up crew?

Free Roam
  • Tiny species are not factored into other species' population thresholds
Harmless
  • Species and Guests will not panic in the presence of tiny species

These two new traits would be exclusive to Tiny species:
  • Composognathus
  • Sinosauropteryx
  • Oviraptor
  • Jeholopterus
  • Moros Intrepidus
  • Lystrosaurus
  • Microceratus
To facilitate ease of use I also propose:

Access Door
  • Fence/Aviary Modification
  • Allows Tiny species to freely move between enclosures
  • Permanent modification (cannot be removed)
Grate
  • Fence/Aviary Modification
  • Bars Tiny species from free roaming through otherwise accessible enclosures
  • Destructible
  • Can Seal an Access Door
  • Can be Replaced (if destroyed)

These are new optional enclosure upgrades that could take advantage of the modular building controls JWE3 is introducing. They promote more interactivity and a unique ability for Tiny species to navigate your park harmlessly. Not only do they clean up waste and corpses from your enclosures improving your Dinosaur Welfare rating organically, but they can entertain guests without being a threat to them. Just be mindful of the comfort of your tiny species and the placement of the access doors.

Insectivores

Loved the idea of these in JWE2 and would like to see them expanded for JWE3. To start, I think we can expand the roster of species that can feed at insectivore feeders. This expansion of the feeders melds well with many of the Tiny species though primarily of the therapod variety.
  • Compsognathus
  • Jeholopterus
  • Oviraptor
  • Moros Intrepidus
  • Sinosauropteryx
These species are essentially insectivores as a secondary feeding option. Beyond having a nice little feeder, they also have an added role that feeds into the Hygiene system. Carnivore feeders and corpses can spoil due to the attraction of insects, so having some of these specimens can help ward off disease infecting your live bait and feeders while keeping the little scavengers fed.
