If like me you had ago at trading but found it slow, and want to give mining ago. First you will have to do some Bullet board missions, these are the best if you can do missions that do not require cargo space so you can take Food canisters fi 37-45cr sell for 198cr untill you've made enough to buy a refinery 1 bin 6.000cr and a mining laser 6.000cr. now you will need to sell your local scanner so you can have the refinery, then sell you gun to make room for you mining laser. Now this is where mining can get tedious, because you only have 1 bin, when you mine a rock that has 2 elements say gold 27% Indite 6% each time you scoop it up you have to go!!press4 scroll up refine gold VENT indite and you could do this some 4-5 times to get 1 ton =£13.000cr / 5mins at 27% each rock. This depends on you finding a metallic ringed planet/Pristine IE: AJIKAN4, TIP when your cargo full alert call says full 4 hold, you can IF you find a rock with single element carry on mining until you have 100% in the refinery's hopper giving you 5 cargo holds, the minute you sell from the hold the 100% Hopper auto fills the space
Now don't worry you have no guns, as long as you move further through the asteroid belt THE MINUTE something pops up on radar, until your radar is clear you will be fine I made my first CobraIII doing just this, and that was when being interdicted was rife, you can out run most things, but its easier now. Then as you earn more buy the 54.000 3 bin hopper refinery ( you can part exchange your old one) Now when you mine a rock that has 2 elements you just mine both Ie press4 key scroll up space bar for each refine the gold and the cheap INDITE, when asteroid is empty go back and VENT Indite & move on next rock. when you have enough dosh buy a haulier 8 cargo space. Now you are really in the money. possible earnings 1 trip 154,000cr 1hr 5 mins work. We know this works we tested it before the wipe and then followed this route straight after wipe, and now I have 2.577.000cr av 250.000cr a trip 297.000cr being my best, last night 18 holds and 100% plat in the hopper. I think I paid 157.000cr for a 4 bin refinery. If you like the sound of this to get dosh wait till you get to where your Pristine planet before you remove you guns, and make sure they actually sell mining refinery equipment, in the early days before AIJKAN, when mining COLDrite?? I had to fly back to ERIN start place to buy refinery. Note my son made good money in a MAJOR reserve metallic, not quiet the high %'s of a Pristine Planet, he now mines at the same metallic Planet has he's old DAD. and he flew over 130lyrs to AJIKAN to mine.
