While I highly recommend trying docking and RES bounty hunting under influence at least once (preferably in a throwaway Sidewinder), do not go out exploring in that state of mind. ("Wait, I forgot to shcan that shtar... Which one was it... Col Shector 285... 08.. 15? 16? Wooh, binary! Gotta shcoop! Were did my hull go? I wonna go home!")

I boosted to kill myself
I was stranded in some random asteroid field, so in order to restart before knowing there was a suicide option, I decided to boost myself into an astroid. Worked like a charm.

EXCEPTION! You can boost in a starport while you're leaving
I did that, hit the edge of the rotating exit/entrance with my wing, bounced through the station's interior like a squash ball, miraculously survived with no damage but disabled shields, and decided a warned man counts for two. No more boosting inside stations until I get more experience
