Tip to help prevent getting too close to star at entry point....

I did a quick search and couldn't find any mention of this basic tip...


Anytime after the 4 second countdown has begun, press [x] or whatever key you've
mapped for zeroing the throttle. When you drop back from hyperspace you will instantly be at minimum speed
and will be able to avoid even the suckiest of gravity wells !

This has been mentioned in load of posts in the forum. But it is always good to mention again for anyone new to the game.

One thing I've noticed is that combining yaw & pitch thrusters in supercruise will turn you faster (diagonally) than just pitching or yawing. I never slow down, I just turn faster.

Thanks OP. I had the feeling it stopped you when dropping, but I was never quite certain.

Still, auto-stopping could be a toggleable option somewhere. You know, for convenience.
