Tips for quest happiness in Bernie Goodwin's Memorial zoo?

I almost finished the career mode. I only need the six 5 star animal one done (it's on its way) and the one where you need 1950 guests in your zoo with 85% happiness. I cannot seem to get this done! I have 20 habitat species and a lot of appealing animals in there, but every time the guest numbers get around 1800/1900 they start dropping again to about 1750 and start climbing again. I tried swapping animals, since I don't have much room left to build more enclosures and I have the marketing at maximum. I also made the entrance fee very cheap.

The happiness is another problem. It keeps getting stuck around 75%. The crime rate is horrible (so many things vandelized). I have camera's everywhere as well as security guards. I spend a lot of time fixing benches and bins. I even had a few people throw trash in animal habitats! Even when there are a lot of bins around. I try to have enough drink and food stands too. The only thing that is not the best yet is that some staff buildings are overlapping the path. I cannot change this without a major overhaul of the park. Sometimes animals get stressed because of the sheer number of people in the park but I try to give them as much hiding spaces as possible.

Anyone tips on how to make sure guests are happy/coming to the park I haven't tried yet?

What I did for that one...and it's a bit gimicky, is close the zoo and let every single guest leave. Then I re-opened it. And they were all super happy, and I hit the 85% happiness right away. Turns out you don't need 1950 visitors that are at 85% happier or higher. You just need to hit 1950 visitors at some point, and at some point have everyone in the zoo at 85% or higher happiness....having them both happen at the same time is not a requirement. I had hit the 1950 visitor requirement before closing the zoo...just not the happiness part.

Since that scenario I've actually learned enough that I could do them both simultaneously, but back at that time....I couldn't. Didn't need to in order to gold star the scenario either.

Oh I assumed I had to have both at the same time, that will make it easier. I will try to hit the 1950 first then, since I'm close and if the happiness isn't happening I can close my zoo and reopen it. it feels a bit like a cheat, but I've done pretty much everything I know to get it up. finished all the other ones without much of a problem (although I must admit the amount of guests + happiness was the hardest too in the indian scenario).

Well it took me the whole evening, especially with the six 5 star animals, but I got it! I had to change all the places of the staff buildings (especially the water/power) otherwise the happiness wouldn't get up. I also made the park free and this made it possible to get it done. I also closed the park and reopened it again.

Congrats @MissZoef; Glad you got 'er done!

I didn't even think of the staff building locations being a problem. But yah, if those are too close to visitor paths they will always be an issue on happiness.

It really annoyed me in the career scenarios where the default, already-placed facilities were too close to visitor paths in zoos where they also didn't let us edit a lot of the underlying structure to do a decent job of of relocating those things. I enjoyed going for gold on all of the scenarios quite a bit (250 hours worth of play enjoyment!); but that part was annoying as heck.

I enjoyed going for gold on all of them too and I definitely agree about the scenario's where things were placed in a way that it had a negative effect on the guests. I believe the India one was one of those and another one in Greece I believe? Not sure anymore. Now going for gold on the 2 new Arctic scenario's :D

Yes! The India one was the one I had in my mind where it was super, super annoying. Getting all of the green-energy stuff into the map was a pain with how it didn't let you edit any of the underlying architectural structure. Loved the visual look of that scenario but they made it hard to go green while still keeping it looking nice.
