Can confirm, this is a fun activity.

And I'm with you, I don't bother with collector limpets. Much more fun to scoop manually.

Although now that we've gone from 1-2 known "sell" systems to 6-10 and now dozens of them, it's tough to know where to lurk for victims.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Man I feel evil!

Was skulking a system which was also being patrolled by a bounty hunter in their Cutter.

I spotted a Python and had a hunch he was a miner. Scan confirmed this.

Interdicted the Python, and fired off a hatch breaker.

Oh man... This boi knew how to mine, I'll give him that, but he didn't have a clue on flying defensively. He didn't submit for a start. Obviously thought my lil' Cobra was no threat... Imagine the rude shock when I made him leak all that tasty cargo?!

All those opals, all that alexandrite... Gone! Haha!

I only managed to pick up one unit sadly, because aforementioned Cutter bounty hunter dropped in, yes CMDR, and started making a turn on me. I decided to ram the cargo I couldn't secure, and jumped to a new system promptly. I wasn't going to risk that unit of opals for his sake.

Going to sell tomorrow. It's getting late, and in PvP, I get loud because VoiceAttack. Loads of orders barked tonight.

All in all, very happy. Very memorable experience.

Oh, one last thing...

To the Captain of the Cutter... If you happen to read this, you're really calling me the coward when you're the one in the safe-as-heck shield tank while I'm flying a no shield booster Cobra Mk III who had the audacity to interdict a Python, in your presence I might add?

Git gud, because I'm now a rich coward.

That is sooo cool! Did you record the interaction? I’d love to see a vid! Heads up though, you ever try that on me I swear it! I’ll size you up and then... possibly cede whatever cargo you can carry. Pirates have my respect. I might give a little bit of a fight first though... depends on your loadout.

Market research, lad. Reducing the hunting area to systems with a large pad helps a lot too.

https://inara.cz/goods/10250/ and check update times, the ones pinging every few minutes are good hunting grounds.

Some good places tonight were:
Tasaki Freeport | LHS 2819
McArthur's Reach | LHS 5287

And a good one that's been updating every few minutes for the past 3 days:
Viktorenko Holdings | CD-33 8748

Distance from mining sites is also a factor.

Most traders will go to the closest big sale market with a large pad.

That's the logic I used yesterday.
