I am planning a trip to get the closes I can to the cat's eye nebula, but I am having trouble of finding any neutron star around the nebula. I try using the filter mode but there grey which makes them really hard to see some times. Any tools or tricks to find them?

Untick all star types but 'Non Sequence', move around with the map and look for system names popping up.
Also, move 1,000 LY or so off the zero plane - go up or down through the disk.
