Titan Leigong

I have been testing my ship at titan Leigong. It seems to have a problem. The pineapple is out, and you can shoot it, but it doesn't retract. No money to be made. The thing will still kill you and send you to the rebuy though. I'm sure this has been reported any work arounds?

Oof, is that the same as at the end of Taranis? I know instances there bugged but don't recall if it was a stuck corn cob out or in.

Not like Taranis, there at the end it was broken and laying on its side and dark. At Liegong it
is all lit and reacts when you shoot it but thats it. It doesn't retract and the heat vents don't open.

You mean relog. I guess that you will be removed from the area and you will have to reenter. Not really the solution but it is a solution.

Well if the instance has failed and some commander is keeping it open, you'll come back to it as long as you're instanced with that same commander.

If you're in open it might be a sign of some ganker lurking about.

Edit, and yes if you relog you'll instance outside of the maelstrom, a good trick to get out if you're short on caustic sinks.

Wow I was in open and there were commanders in there. So we/they were actually making the problem persist. The aggro level was low so I was trying to learn the lay out. I did find if you line yourself up with a good exit vector aimed at the star system you want to jump to. When the Titan pulses it will propel you quickly through the caustic zone.

Yes, basically if it's broken everyone has to leave the instance for it to be reset. A good tip is to press FA off to take advantage of the pulse pushing you out.

Thanks for the FA tip ! I'm having quite a time getting a handle on tickling a Titan without a rebuy or massive repair bill not that it really matters but it's a nice challenge.

A solution, but a bad one. We spend a lot of time just getting there. And so over and over again until you get lucky with a good instance
I've seen a few people in game chat suggest that killing scouts will re-active the titan in this scenario. Whether true or not I'm not sure, and not always easy to pick a few scouts off either. At the current time it feels like broken instance is the titan's best defence so hopefully cause can be identified and addressed by the devs

i too have heard that goids get stuck at the same time as the core and getting them unstuck can unstuck the core as well. i am yet to confirm, however this method supposedly unstucks only the core and doesnt solve stuck vents.
ive also heard that they get stuck when commanders enter the instance. whether that could be worked around by getting everyone in at the same time or getting people in one by one with large pauses between and not during attack runs, that i dont know but might be worth some testing...

Other speculation exists that blames multiple torpedo shots from different players at the same vent for Stuck Pineapple Syndrome (one player shoots while the other player's targeted torpedo is already heading to the same vent).

In any case, anecdotally, I've seen the issue about 3 times in 4 on crowded open instances, and not once in small PG or solo. Best advice, given above, is to avoid crowded instances until fixed, I think.

On Taranis, I had problems with the vents getting blued but not letting out fumes and even after every single one was blued, the cob was still shy (and that was on solo). My guess is that even small de-syncs are enough to make it misbehave. If it keeps happening even on solo, do check your connection for packet losses.

EDIT: Is it just a coincidence that Leigong is in the same system as that Unregistered Comms Beacon?
