A replica of a boat that sank on its maiden voyage? lets hope they don't replicate the navigation equipment and number of lifeboats to keep it authentic, I can see that going down well if they did, almost as well as the Mk 1
lets hope its made from top rates parts and not the fake parts you can buy from a certain country that also produces high quality products
As an Australian, this embarasses me to no end.
Mr Palmer is obviously too rich for his own good and living in the past. With the spectacle of Gina Rinehart's kids fighting over billion dollar trust funds while their Mother suggests her fellow countrymen should be comparing their wages to those of West Africans, I could throw the whole lot them out to sea in a "Chaff Bag", to quote another lamentable wealthy Australian.

I think as long as the captain of this new Titanic pays attention to ice warnings, then everything will be just fine..
Aussie Billionaire Rebuilding the Titanic
On April 2012, I heard on the news an Australian billionaire and tycoon Clive Palmer has formed "Blue Star Line", which will feature the RMS Titanic replica as its possible flagship. Palmer claims Titanic II will be the safest cruise ship in the world when it sets sail in 2016 from Southampton, England, bound for New York, following the ill-fated Titanic's original planned route.
In case that sounds a bit hazy, yes they are rebuilding the Titanic ship exactly as it was in 1912, with the same electronics and decorations & are going to do the same trip again... FOR REAL
It is thought that the Titanic 2 will stop where the original RMS Titanic sank. All the crews and the passengers will stop in silence and prey.
Now who actually has the balls to buy a 3rd class ticket? (Yes there will be all 3 classes to chose from as before.)

Will all the drinks on the Titanic II come with free ice...?
I can see this being a big money making venture, the world is filled with titanic fans and historians that would give their left arm to be part of this. I even expect some period cosplay people to turn up.
so long as the new one has a much bigger rudder to help the ship turn faster (something the original failed miserably on) and they have lifeboats for everyone, then it should be fine.

I saw a film called Titanic II a few weeks back, It was really bad, just like this, a BAD idea.
