I watched the 1997 movie. The ship broke in half as it was tilted at a 45 degree angle as it was sinking at the end. A lot of men perished in the ice cold ocean after the ship went down, they had nowhere to go as there was no land for miles, and it was pitch dark out. There were only enough lifeboats for women and children. The women and children were rescued by another ship the next day. It was one of the biggest ship sinkings in history. The sinking was in 1912, and the remains of the ship was discovered by divers at the bottom of the ocean in 1985.
