Now, I understand we recieved a multitude of wonderful news today - I am floored by the featured shown off today and I am so excited to play with them myself. This thread being started is not one out of “We should have gotten this instead!!!”, but instead one that seeks to advocate for the inclusion of this wonderful feature from Planet Coaster for the community.
TMTK, otherwise known as the Thememaker’s Toolkit, is a tool developed by Frotnier for getting custom foliage, scenery and items in the game. It is an official program and not one akin to what we see for Nexus and Cobra Tools for Planrt Zoo mods, such as the Safari Pack.
The current issue I personally have with the current modded scenery stems from a usability standpoint from a user-end issue. If you try and load into a zoo with modded scenery, it will crash. Likewise if you install a blueprint with modded scenery in it. It is a very finicky system.
Which is why I want to advocate for TMTK to be included in the 1.8 update for Planet Zoo. I understand that this is a feature that is beloved by Planet Coaster fans, and I hope they will sing its praises in here as well. It allows the community to be able to create exactly what they want, while Frontier will seek to doing their own thing as they always do.
I understand that the community at least understands the talented individuals who have worked on new animals and new scenery mods, and we want to exhibit an interest in an official way to incorporate them. While I hesitate to advocate for an AnimalMaker’s Toolkit, A TMTK is a tool I believe could greatly improve engagement and life within the community.
Thank you Frontier for all thag you do, and I hope you at least read into this a little bit of consideration to incorporate this tool/system into my favorite game. Cheers!
