Dear mahonnaise,


I’m CMDR Opvernieuw and as some of you may know I’m subscribed to the Mahon subreddit. It’s a great place to share information or discuss strategies and politics. It’s one of the most, if not the most active subreddit about Powerplay, with lots of lone wolfs and player groups participating in these discussions.

Although Mahon as a power is doing quite well, we could do even better with proper communication and cooperation, because sometimes it feels like herding cats. ;) Every cycle so far there has been at least one system that’s worth almost nothing but receives thousands of trade agreements.

At the moment we (the players on /r/elitemahon) are curious who is prepping LHS 2936, it’s on the #1 spot at the moment and we don’t know why - there are lots of better systems to prepare. To quote CMDR _Flin_: “it is really hard to understand this preparation effort. What's it worth? 36cc? And has already 5910 preparation points.”

We are not /r/eliteMao, we’re not saying we’re the Alliance government, we ‘re not saying you can’t prepare the systems you like, we're not saying you should subscribe to our subreddit (although that would be great), but it would help a lot if we knew why (and how many) people are preparing certain systems.

People are probably preparing the closest system they can find merely to get merits, and are unaware of other methods. I wouldn't be surprised if most people doing PP didn't know or care about the overall strategy. I wouldn't stress about it too much tbh, pretty much every faction is having the same problem.

Now if only we could talk the devs into integrating our plans into the Powers UI! How nice would it be to have the moderator (or whoever) from the Mahon subreddit upload a synopsis of our weekly goals and focus which could appear on the Galactic Powers screen GalNet-style. This way CMDRs not on the boards (ED official, reddit, xbone, mac, etc.) could clearly see what the community is trying to achieve and we could be more organized and efficient.
