Ill likely be there although Im not in any player groups...this was actually announced some time ago if Im not mistaken? Much like bongo, Im expecting to be triple elite by that time so why not I suppose ^
I personally have made the trip by myself so I don't see (personal) reasons to go, I have some other future plans instead

Very few people do...Im all up fer it though and I do play mostly in open nowadays. I did apply fer a group once, but didnt take it further...I dont use things like Inara or social media fakebook...Im old school, never use out of game resources fer anything...makes life a lonely life...Im used to it ^
Yeah but I'm sure the forums are the biggest information source of the game.

Not really...one has to trawl through reams and reams of text just to find a few tidbits. Engineers are nigh on impossible when ye can’t find certain materials and one must leave the game to find out.
But ye most things can be sourced on the forums so long as ye have the patience to trawl through the rubbish to find it ^
I was the same and stuck doggedly to Xbox live...even on the PC for in game chat with the few friends I have playing E-D regularly. Now that there's a few of us mates from the Xbox playing on PC, we tend to use our own private Discord channel since it's unobtrusive...bit less resource hungry than Teamspeak too.
I do like being social and we tend to all meet up and wing up when we're on.
Totally up for this. Anyone going scouting?
I'm tempted by this and as has been said it was originally announced a little while ago there's an open thread about it.
For me it's more about what ship to use. I've done Colonia in a Sidey and a few other things with different ships. Suppose we'll have to see what develops with the game this year.

I love to be sociable too m8, but I dont get along well with having to leave the game to talk to people and I dont use social media so my options are limited. Most my xbox m8s wouldnt touch a game like this with a ten foot barge pole, and none of my pc m8s are still playing...apart from red but we only really communicate through this forum nowadays. And I only know him cos we played bsgo fer 6 years before coming here, and then I switched to console.
So Im like in between two different platforms with most of my gaming experience done on pc...its like a limbo empty space where nothing really exists.
So thats the sugar coated excuse...reality being Im one the most foul mouthed people I know and I originally came to this game to be alone after burning out on a diet of ptw pvp where I spent about 4 grand in 6 years. Those griefers others hide from? I used to be one of them and I was very good at it so playing alone started out as a self imposed exile because Id become addicted to it and needed to force myself to stop.
Ive always been a lone wolf player by nature...is how Ive managed this long because exploration just suits me right down to the ground...one can experience true solitude in the black and while many balk at the prospect, I thrive on it.
My daughter keeps me company when she plays although shes on ps4 and shes pure combat only player so we do wind each other up a bit at times ^

I lost touch with practically all my Xbox live friends list once I started playing E-D at the beginning of GPP... most were still doing the BF4/Destiny/Division stuff and couldn't get into E-D. I just made more friends in game, we also play other games aside from E-D...most of us have become real mates outside of gaming since the early days of Xbox GPP anyway, we just get on...if you know what I mean
(Shout out to Mash, Lee, Ghosty, Stevey, Bambi...not that they read the forum so much these days)

I dont have a pc anymore, or a laptop...have a big box full of bits but not all of them are doing what they supposed to and real life dictates one doesnt have the money to have so many toys. Its somewhat of a pain truth be told and none too convenient. So Im stuck with xbox live whether I wanna be or not, and I dont use any social media very much...too much drama and others were using it against me so I simply stopped using it almost entirely.
So ye see, my options really are quite limited. Im a disabled and unemployed single parent...having all the man toys just aint financially practical Im afraid and one makes do with what one has...Ill get something sorted in the spring after I get xmas paid for although I was sorta aiming at an xb1x as opposed to a laptop.
Speaking of exploration, Im back in the bubble on a break fer a couple months...that last expedition burned me out a bit and Ive decided to grind up empire ranking...more really fer something to do while I work on a few things like the T10. Spent half the morning searching out a nice quiet little bolthole with not much traffic and some decent mission boards...ye wouldnt believe how much of a pain this is when ye dont use out of game resources, but I got what I was after...eventually. Now transferring a mini fleet from jamesons...more money spent nothing earned.
By the time Im ready to head out again, and I will be heading out again, I should have a laptop sorted if nothing else barring any major crisis. Time will tell but Im cool with the solitude fer now...helps me focus on what I need to do ^
I've just got 30 ships out to Colonia so I'm probably just going to explore locally for awhile-)
