To All True Sons and Daughters of the Empire

The levels of treason being revealed here astound me. Non-payment of debt is the greatest shame one can bring upon a household. That is the imperial way. It is tradition. Taking up arms against a senator is taking up arms against the Empire. It is imperative that the Empire stands united until the issue of succession has been legally resolved.

Who is speaking for the Emperor? Certainly not himself. These Imperial CMDRs who oppose the righteous Patreus in his selfless defence of the Empire are unwitting traitors to the very same Imperial tradition they seek to defend.
The current Imperial family is finished. There isn't a rightful or competent heir who can ascend the throne without causing disharmony amongst us. The last thing we want is Empire wide civil war, especially with the current leadership turmoil in the Federation. Let Patreus and Aisling make union so we can compromise between old and new blood, between tradition and progress.
Patreus instils strong emotions in all; friend, foe and even kinfolk. This is to be expected for any powerful individual possessed of destiny and purpose. Rise above your petty envy and fear to embrace the future.
Or the agonies of civil war are going to befall the Empire.

If non-payment of debt is the greatest shame in the Empire, then surely the arbitrary changing of a debt's payment terms to make its repayment impossible must be the greatest crime in the Empire.

Indeed but some seem to have a taste for the fed like kool aid.....

I hardly call a man who can only bully weak independents a righteous man, or even anything close to a proper Imperial citizen. They may not be one of us, but that is no reason to act without honor. That this man is one of the major faces of the Empire is a shame to us all.

Greetings fellow imperial commanders.
First post on forums, so i'm here trying to catch up with late news, and something is bugging me.

While Galnet News indicates that princess Arissa is the senator from Facece (see news from 16th of april for instance), in game information on the system states Blaine is the senator in charge there. Could somebody clarify? Thx.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion, CMDR. However, I for one yearn for a renaissance of expansion like in the golden age. Maybe you think our forefathers were without honour as they conquered system after system (largely independent) to make the current majesty of the Empire. Or maybe you've spent too much time in Alliance space, hobnobbing with the yokels. There is a definite foppishness and limpness to lots our citizens here that I think a good war will iron out. The Empire was built from steel, not silk.
Let me see you call Patreus a bully to his face so I can confirm the strength and might of your sense of Imperium.

Welcome CMDR. In my opinion, Blaine is using Arissa so he can continue to control the Empire from behind the throne. He seems to seek to place her upon it so he can persist in his jerking. She should change her name to Marionette, perhaps.

Like it or not, civil war will come to the Empire. It's inevitable. It will be up to those Imperials whom have become members of the Pilots Federation to determine who wins or loses this war. Agents of the Federation, and the Alliance will join sides under false pretenses, to force the most favorable to their whims into the throne. One could say the Empire is at the mercy of the greater Galaxy. However, it will only come when the Emperor is truly dead, and the muddied line of succession collapses under all these massive egos. Then will brother will turn against brother. Then will blood fill the black of the Empire.

Patreus and Aisling lack any sense imperial decency, both are treading the lines of treason, and you should be ashamed for defending their barbaric honorless ways and for your comments about the Imperial family. We won't allow the rise to power of those who want to destroy society and turn the Empire into another Federation. Perhaps you would be more comfortable with them, we'll gladly show you the way.

Pray tell, what exactly is Imperial decency?
We are at a crossroads of criticality the likes of which we have never seen before.
There is no eligible or competent heir to the throne. We have to decide what to do with the minimum amount of destruction as possible. The blood of the Duvals runs in Aisling and the blood of Imperial ambition runs in Patreus. This compromise is our salvation and you should back it.
You're not going to look too decent when the baying crowds hoist you up after the Federation conquer your home world. We will be weakened by a civil war. It's probably inevitable now but we should seek to minimise it's impact. Those two Federal vote junkies will exploit any opportunity to acquire power.

I disagree with much Patreus has been doing. I despise what happened in Kui Hsien.

That said, this communique considers valid, terrorism against Imperial assets under Senator Patreus. That is treason. The man has not yet displayed any proof of his intentions to commit treason against the Duval line, so any Imperial who actively attacks Patreus in these situations is committing treason against the Empire.

Let us build up and wait for the potential struggle for succession, but by no means should we be eager to start it. The Emperor may yet recover. Patreus may yet not attempt to make himself the Emperor. It is simply too early to take drastic measures like attacking Patreus.

I do not delude myself with the belief that Patreus is a selfless or moral man. He is a Caesar and should be treated at such: kept at the other side of the Rubicon, far away from the walls of Rome, where maybe he can be of some use defending the Empire.

The die is not yet cast.

Truth of the matter is that the strongest should rule and in the long term, it is the only way to prosper.
I say, let's fight it out in an orderly fashion. Let's say two weeks of power struggle for one or two systems that will decide who is the rightful successor. He(she) should be generous and not go after the defeated contestant. That is the measure of true son or daughter of an Empire.
I for one will join whoever offers betters conditions and outlines better future of the empire, but i will only choose among solid imperial leaders.
Also, i support (imperial) slavery, because it's a tradition and a good business all in one.

This sometime Lieutenant Commander of the Federal Navy, and Alliance sympathiser, has declared that she will give a fair hearing to all Powers when considering whom to pledge allegiance to, including the Powers of the Empire.

So tell me - why should I support Arissa Lavigny? Why should I support Senator Patreus?

You tell us how having no slaves will make us stronger? You can't save the Empire by turning it into another Federation, that is exactly what the Federation wants.

Arissa has the stronger claim to the throne and she embodies the traditional values that had taken us to success and prosperity for centuries, anything else is suicide.
