If you haven't removed the indents (those little notches on the throttle) then you really, really, really should. They weren't that stiff or anything, but after you remove them you start to realize how much of the game you spend playing around those points, and how much they interfere. And it's incredibly easy to do, takes maybe 5 minutes. There's a how to here.
