Hey pal*! I wish to express my gratitude, as thanks to you last night I had quite a thrill.
Last night, at the distress signal location, you decided to go alone VS many players in your Eagle. Not only I admired your courage/madness, but I decided, after a scan of your equipment, that I would remain at a respectful distance. I had nothing to even remotly threaten you seriously, and I was willing to survive as I was saving for a Cobra. You decided I was as good a target as any other, and shoved a good deal of laser shots into my poor Sidey. As I helplessly watched my hull integrity drop below a two digits number, I thought I was done for and good to spend even more bucks into insurances.
Half-blinded by the light bursts, I saw the cockpit glass cracking, and finally exploding. It was the very first time I experienced that. The sounds almost muted, Betty warning voice became an underwater whisper. The effect was so nicely done that I thought I suffocated a bit in front of my screen. You didn't have time to finish the job, as another Cmdr's Anaconda decided to pulverize your ride for the tenth time or so. And there I was, floating in the void, my cockpit cracked open. Still not dead, to my surprise. Then, I noticed the helmet visor occupying my filed of view, and the remaining oxygen level countdown (9 minutes). Still confused, I escaped the fray and engaged supercruise to Azeban city.
To make it short, I barely made it to the station. I even got an interdiction during the travel. When I finally had the «*atmosphere restored*» message, I had a little more than one minute left.
Kuddos to the devs and designers for such a conception, that was quite a thrill. That game is gonna be brillant. And thanks again for the trip, Stranger
