To Devs | Any news on the next update?

Plus, what make's me a liar or uncredible? Just because I hadn't had an issue common to a few other's who's situation or system I've likely never been in? I play the game the way I find fun, and I find that other player's are never in the system's I'm in. I honestly think the problem has 2 main triger's which are Orbis Station's and the ammount of player's in or near the crash area. I did finally see a few hollow boxes yeaterday when "the revenge of the crash" hit me.

Ummm I play all day every day on solo and don't even get 3 crashes if it even happens at ALL so don't go calling people liars or uncredible just because A: your xbox sucks or B: you have honey booboo Walmart Internet that can't handle downloading an MP3 much less play a full blown game lol now open play that's a different story but after the latest update I usually don't have any issues and maybe only crash once or twice a day

Edit: And I'm sure everyone knows this by now but my save has been corrupted and forced to restart TWICE since the game came out so complaining about being unable to dock at a starports without crashing is hilarious to me since you can at least log back in a try again and not loose all your rank progression

I have got to agree. 10 hours a day since release and 3 crashes? Give me a break!

Credibility = ZERO!

And to the topic of this thread... I too would like to know WHEN we are going to see a more stable/playable build! The ORBIS STARPORT station model is bugged beyong belief, and considering it is the most widely used station model in the game, that is a lot of locations I can't visit because every time I do my game crashes to the dashboard while trying to get under the 7050Km to call for docking permission. I rarely have a chance to activate the Docking Computer since the game makes a loud BUZZ and quits to the dashboard before I usually get close enough to even call the station!

All the other station designs in the game? No problem at all! I can play for hours on end, avoiding all the ORBIS station locations, but the minute I try to visit one of those.... BUZZ! Crash to Dashboard.

Considering we are now over 2 weeks since this DOG of a build was released, I think it is a reasonable question to ask how much longer we are going have to wait before we get something more stable? SOON doesn't cut it after 2 weeks!

I could care less what the apologists think about people posting the truth about the state of the game. I too have been alpha and beta testing console games for over 30 years. I have never been forced to hammer on such an unstable build of a game for this long before it was replaced with something better.

MAYBE if we TYPE in CAPS they will FIX the PROBLEM at a FASTER pace

Get into lesser populated space where fewer real players are going to be and you shouldn't have any problem unless of course it's your internet connection that's bad. Since it's an always online game, if you lose connection for even a second it's probably going to boot you! I have been on vacation in Qa'wakana for almost a week now hitting up a few high intensity RES for bounties very very close to Carpini Terminal and I honestly cannot recall having a crash in almost a week. Before that I had plenty of crashes but never as intense as some people on here make them out to be, I'm not doubting them but it must have something to do with location and connection.

i have been in systems with four other cmdrs not friends I might add. and found no problems neither have I had any issues with the orbis (apart from not being on the right side of it and being unable to tell where the door may be). there have been a few crashes but nowhere near the amount some people have had. I always play on open as knowing that in solo I am completely alone in the galaxy makes me feel a bit sad. so it seems clear to me that the issues are different for everyone.
people might not be lying just because you have had more issues than them.

Completely agree with game 'unplayable' statement being nonsense.....I can't turn the bloody thing off! Crashes seem to come in spates but I've been sweet for a fair while. I would suggest about 10 crashes over a 40 hour period. Not bad for a review/test game. Many of this crashes related i.e. stuck in similar scenario.

I bought Elite on June 22 and have played 86 hours since.
I have not crashed a single time, nor have I had any game breaking issues what so ever.

Only few things I noticed are player lagging a bit in Hyperdrive, some stuttering on RES sites, damage dealt to enemy ships taking a few seconds to register, and I get interdicted by NPCs too often on Cubeo.
Aside from that, game runs great, I've been in a Wing of 4, I've met multiple players in game and added them to my friends list and we hang out in wings now and then, everything works as it's supposed to for me.

yeah it is the most playable unplayable game I have ever erm played.

Errm...well....I play a lot...not ten hours a day. I have been playing for three weeks now, with an average of six to ten hours a day Friday-Monday and maybe an hour a night between those days if I am lucky. Point is, I have been to a lot of systems...flown many different ships and tried many ways to play. I.e. professions.....mined....bounty hunter...trading.....done it all...up to yestersay I have had ZERO crashes. Yesterday I bought a vulture and as the game loaded the new ship in it crashed. First crash ever....but since then okay again. So I WOULD believe him....don't go making statements about people you can't really back up or know as the truth....you don't help your own argument and just sound plain rude. After all it was not long ago you were arguing with me how this poor excuse for a game engine that frontier had built was the cause for your extremely poor frame rates....until it turned out to be the dashboard preview program you were in and the beta dashboard interacting with the game strangely. :)

You have always been an interesting and thoughtful poster .....I have enjoyed debating with you...but to call someone a liar with no proof ? There were times when you were posting how your game dropped frame rates every few frames and lagged constantly that I must admit I thought 'this guy is exaggerating a bit ' , because my own experiences in the game and those of my friends were almost a polar apposite of yours. But I never voiced those thoughts because I sat and thought about it first and realised why would you make it up? Instead we discussed the problems and together with the forum we discovered a problem. That is how we are going to help sort things out ...not by calling in to doubt peoples honesty.

Since day 1, playing at least 10 hours a day, I've had 3 crashes.

Same here.. And only if the game needs to load a new cockpit cus I bought a new ship.

EDIT,

I'm pretty sure crashes are network related. Internet speed, and distance to the ED servers all play part in this.

It would really help if we know where Frontiers servers are located, and what the players internet speed is, Download AND upload.

Yeah...Lets release this build to the public right now! There is absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH IT! lol!

Amazing!

If you are not crashing the game, you are not contributing to the BETA TEST. Simple as that.

I have always found apologists an odd bunch in terms of what would motivate someone to deny obvious issues and chastise those who point them out, as if their own personal reputation was at stake. If you honestly think this current build even qualifies as a BETA build, heaven forbid a retail ready release, I suggest you stick to "playing" games rather than attempting to "test" and "honestly" evaluate them.

So you blame people that they are not helping because their game isn't crashing..

This isn't a BETA it's EARLY ACCESS. You're problem is a lack of uderstanding the difference. If I ran into ANY issue's hell yea I'd post about them as I did about my experience yesterday.

Ive had this since day 1 had major issues with it corrupting my save and crashing constantly and things not working right but and this is a huge but I filled out tickets and submitted bug reports and ya know what I continued playing and continued pushing the limits as to what I could do in the game no one's saying there isn't flaws but those of us with patience are saying DEAL WITH IT they will fix it when they can if you don't like the fact that it's screwy right now may I suggest logging off and playing something else? Or maybe even just deleting the game off your console and just dealing with loosing $30 there's a huge giant disclaimer at the bottom that straight says DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE CURRENT STATE OF THE GAME. Your clearly not happy so why you buy it? My point is if your an actual beta tester you should've known from the start what the word PREVIEW means if not you have no business doing that job no offense it's just starting to get annoying fill out your bug reports and quit complaining it's not doing the game any good or helping anyone else in the community in any way shape or form you wanna write a review go write one where people who haven't already payed for the game are instead of telling us what we already know seems kinda redundant

When I find a problem that is a definite bug...e.g. abnormal game behaviour that I cause, or observe happening and is repeatable, then I will report it as I have in the Xbox one version and as I did in the PC beta.. I will not resort to calling people dishonest simply to qualify my own findings or because their experience in game has not mirrored my own nor will i claim they are not able to honestly evaluate their gaming experience. If I was to start posting about contant game crashes then I would be being dishonest and an 'apologist' to yourself, as I simply have not had that kind of experience.

Also I play the game as I see fit. I divide my time between a full time job, my family and such. Have I played as extensively as you? Almost definately not, but I haven't made claims as to the veracity of your posts either just because they are different to my own. That would be as non productive as dishonesty or questioning others honesty. I play the game, enjoy it, report if anything happens that obviously shouldn't happen. That is all that is required of anyone at this stage on these forums. I commend those who dedicate larger portions of their spare time to actively search out bugs, I choose to play as I would if it were a full release, at my own pace, if I can help by reporting any bugs I find along the way then great. I have never claimed to be a professional game tester. But I would not say I haven't contributed to the preview game program....thank you.

The fact that there is such a disparity in performance among PREVIEWERS would suggest it's network related. Sure you don't have crappy internet? Have you tried solo to see if it's any different?

I've mentioned this to people alot before it also probably doesn't help considering I'm pretty sure we're actually in test servers from what I've read though don't quote me on it but if we are this could also be because all of xbox is on them currently and not the huge full servers that are alot better like the ones pc is currently on. I had issues with crashing in open play but it's very very very seldom I ever have issues in solo and since the update open play has become alot more stable but I'm also running on 160/160mbs connection which in my area is literally as fast as I can get till cox upgrades to the 1gb connection speeds
