As we come to the end of 2015, or 3301 depending on which timeline you are in, I would like to thank everyone at Frontier Developments for Elite: Dangerous + Horizons and wish you all a Happy New Year!
For me, Elite: Dangerous has been one of the best games I have purchased and I have certainly spent more time playing it than any other game I have ever owned. I look forward to the new seasons that will come in the next several years and will continue to play for as long as I can.
It is great that space based games are making a comeback and we all have a lot to look forward to over the coming years in this genre.
I will probably never be able to go into Space in my lifetime, however, Elite: Dangerous has allowed me to experience space travel and visit other worlds throughout our galaxy. Thank you for those experiences. It has been a great year.
Although I realise that atmospheric planet landings are a long way off, due to the time and effort required to implement this feature, I am really pleased that landings on planets without an atmosphere came first as I strongly get a sense of landing on an alien world as I look up at a black sky full of stars whilst I drive round on a barren planet.
Coming back home last night from seeing the new Star Wars movie (which I really enjoyed), the first thing I wanted to do when I got home was to jump back into Elite: Dangerous
.
So, once again, thank you and Happy New Year to everyone at Frontier Developments.
To all the Commanders out there, Happy New Year and safe flying!
See you in the void...
