To Frontier

Elite Dangerous is no longer in the top 100 Steam games. This means that less than 5000 players play it daily. In addition, we already know that Odyseja will not appear on PS or XBOX.
What's next?
I have been playing Elite Dangerous from the very beginning and I regret to say that not much is changing. The Odyssey did not have the best start. The players didn't get what they expected. The terrestrial Conflict Zone candle is empty because nobody wants to play it. All because of the terrible optimization. Elite Dangerous relies heavily on old players. And the old players have already achieved everything.
Let's look at BGS. The impact on the fraction we support is very small. It is not better with the economy. Players do not have any bonuses from running a faction. For example price reductions at stations. That `s bad. Solo or private group players have an influence on BGS, and that's bad too. BGS is not being developed properly.
The missions are repetitive to the point of boredom. There are no fun missions with cool stories. Most of the missions still remember the times when the game was created. Nothing changes and that's wrong. Players need new challenges. New missions. Goals. Developers sit still. Players get what they did not ask for and what they do not need. The storyline of Elite Dangerous looks bad. The plot is rudimentary. I mean, there is a story, but few people are interested in it anymore. It does not affect the gameplay. Elite Dangerous is a simulator or an MMO game? Because if it's an MMO game, it's very poor.
What must happen to make it better?
  • Greater influence of players on BGS. Players must benefit from running a faction. They should get a panel from which they could manage missions and, at least in a basic degree, the economy.
  • We need new and interesting missions. Missions with an interesting story. The missions in Elite Dangerous are not interesting and there are few of them. The same all the time.
  • Community Goals are not interesting. Something new must be done. Now Community Goals is a morsel for Gankers who fly there just to kill other players.
  • The exploration in the Odyssey is weak. Biology has been added but she gets bored after a few days. It is very little varied. We discover the same thing all the time. We want to be discoverers of new worlds and what we have is grind.
  • Grind. Grind. Grind. Many players quit the game because of grind. A good grind is ok. But Elite Dangerous is all about grind.
  • NPCs are weak and annoying. When we fight them, they make them more nervous than we fear them. During one mission we fight 8 pirates. The same every time. Resurrection? Such difficulties are frustrating.
  • Ground missions are mostly boring. Very poor optimization.
  • No new ships have arrived since the HORIZONS.
I believe Frontier should start listening to and working with players. With the most experienced who play Elite Dangerous for thousands of hours.

Youre not wrong. Gankers (im one) are usually BECAUSE CGs are boring and we are bored. So we just kill players as there's not much else to do. PvP and AX are really the only thing that i do anymore. After 4,000 hours.

Suggestions aside you are making a lot of assumptions here with no evidence to support them.

Steam? Never heard of ;)
I'm playing and I'm not using Steam.
I think the majority of the "started in 2015/16" is also playing without steam...

Using steam as an indicator for a game which does not only uses steam is a bit... wrong ;)
