Is there a like button? There should be, this is the sort of post that means a whole lot of fun has just been had!

I was in open play the other day and watched a cmdr be interdickted by another cmdr. I thought, as the second cmdr was wanted I would go and help the first cmdr so I jumped into their wake shift. Once in I automatically attacked the wanted ship, took down his/her shields and forced them to jump. I asked the T6 cmdr if he was ok and we both jumped out to the station together. I followed him to the station where he docked. I can say that I had fun giving support to a fellow commander and it probable made the victim in the attack happy to know not all players are in it for themselves.

I am glad that FDev have made NPC's harder, but they are still no challenge to player. If NPC's were a challenge them PvP may go and players would want to group together to take down big ships.

A dropship heh ? Was it CMDR "RR"'s perhaps (RR is NOT the commander name mods, it is but a nickname to help identify the owner of the ship D: )

Indeed it was and we had his sheilds down when he jumped, fed police had also jumped in to help us. Big smiles all round, particuarly as i interdicted and then messed around till my wingman arrived, then we bored in. He is a good pilot, took my sheilds and gave me some damage but with a bit more coordination we would have collected a fine scalp.

Had another lovely moment in a res zone. Cmdr being attacked by a pirate asked for my help as he was losing badly. I bored in took the pirates sheilds down amd watched him fly into an asteroid as he realised i was there.

I genuinely love these interactions, even when i have been overcome and blown out of a broken canopy it makes my spine tingle.

Ah well, I tried to request a one on one fight to the death (gentlemen duel if you will :p ) but he declined, saying he preferred to be hunted :D

Last I checked, he had several millions on his head (maybe tenth of millions, I'm not sure), but the did tell me that he'll run when in danger, so it's going to be hard to catch him :/

Did you take him down or just take him ?

He was down to 120k when we saw him. We took his sheilds down and had started to get damage but a cobra and a viper cant masslock a dropship. Then when we followed i lost connection.
