To the explorers - Is this rare?

Armed with my humble standard system scanner I decided to dabble in a little exploration, and came across this star system, and it looked quite unique to my untrained eyes. Just wondering if a system made up of stars like this is something special or have I got a lot to learn? :p

(I've blacked out the system name on purpose, because I want to be first to scan all the stars and planets in it! heh)

You should have done that before you posted anything, how do you know you're the first person that's ever been there ;).

That is an interesting little stack of nested orbits. I haven't seen one that nicely hierarchical yet but I don't get out as much as some others have.

Nesting tends to be pretty standard, for example here

Compared to a nearby system

Edit: If there's something less common there, it's the fact that all four stars are rendered white, not a single one orange (as often is case in multiple TTS systems) - not that it's exactly rare either.

I see. So not that uncommon, but the fact they were all white made me get excited for some reason.

Actually that's a good question... How would I know that even if I had scanned it before posting?

If you look long enough at them, 3 will go away, and in the other one you'll see James Bond walking, pointing a gun at you, and shooting you in the face.

Sorry Ziggy but you have ruined my suspension of disbelief! After all the posts i've seen you make I imagined that your replies were Bowie quotes/lyrics/lines from films. And I imagined them as if Mr Bowie was talking.... OK I still did with that post but you're a scary monster and super beast! :D

P.s. After reading some of your latest posts I relent and realise that you can roleplay 'The man who fell to Earth' final scenes perfectly :D

P.p.s. Not stalking...Just love the avatar :)

Newsletter #60 answers that one!

Ah yes, I did read that they are adding the names of discoverers to systems, but I thought there might be a way to know if they'd been scanned already, but without knowing by who obviously.
