Could we perhaps get a dedicated hardware section with which Driver works with which Graphic Card without issues?

Me, I'm running a trusty EVGA 3090 so i would see an entry like:-

3090 latest driver without issues seems to be 566.36

I think that would be a worthwhile service to the Community

i think we would all need same ram,motherboard,cpu,and os to make that a possibility
thats why games only ever offer a genralised reccomended specification for min and recommended
as for the driver the latest should work but they are usually tweaked here and there for the latest game releases by the driver manufactuer
as mentioned in the driver update notes and not for older games so the generic driver base code is used which does not change that much from stock release of the card
new tweaks for the latest released games( see driverpatch notes) could lower as well as raise peformance slightly pending pc os etc but not that it makes a really noticeable improvement or reduction either way tbh
for eg the first driver ever released for that card(3090) may still work relatively well............(unless it has become incompatible with the latest OS updates) and is possible it may out perform the latest driver released but this should be unlikely



so no not really no well no that i am aware of

We only find out about any issues with a particular Card when Commanders Post with warnings/concerns/oopses regarding the latest NVidia offerings affecting their Elite Dangerous Performance in some way.

It’s not about the rigs but the graphics cards.

and thats how the devs/mods learn about any gpu issues too i would have thought...........
cmdrs feedback being the quality control dept. of the company (it took almost a year from release to get odyssey to an acceptable playable level looking back, cmdr feedback being the driving force via cmdr complaint, bug reporting and eventual dev patch addressments)

so maybe start an elite known GPU card type & brand issues thread there if there isnt one already...............
it would be better to have an elite only hardware section instead of a general(all fd game) pupose one though agreed
