To the video makers... Are you familiar with "colour banding" like this in your capture footage?

So I've done a video of the big crater at Junga 1. But what's apparent in my footage are huge areas of colour banding, where rather than smooth transitions from one dark colour to another, you get large areas/bands of the same colour.

This is the footage I've captures using Window 10s inbuilt DVR. Do I need to up the capture quality maybe in future? The default I believe is 10mb for 1080p, which you can up to 20mb?

Those look like low dynamic color range issues. I don't have experience with the Win10 DVR, but perhaps the capture quality is downsampling the color range?

Hmmm... I didn't notice them until I reviewed the video footage...

I guess I need to fly all the way back and try recording at Windows 10s highest setting maybe (20mbps). Maybe also try AMDs Ratpr software too out of interest...
