After a few months break from Elite, I'm back! Today, I culminated my gun for hire gig, when I was awarded my dangerous in Combat rank, it was my goal. I promised my wife that I would give up that way of life, retire my Clipper, and focus on my hobby / new gig explorer. As luck would have it, an old friend of mine new of a local merchant who specializes in exploration equipment. So off I went to the dealer with my trust Clipper. As luck would have it, I was able to customize my Conda and buy it for 15% off. I was not able to go with the top of the line equipment, as I wanted to ensure I had 2X my insurance costs available.
We stopped approximately 1,000 LY from Sol and have a first discovery on two water-worlds and 1 gas giant. The family and I parked next to one of the newly discovered water worlds. The only issue is that our current lander does not work, so we ordered a new one. It does not arrive for several months, so for now we are stuck on the ship.
The family loves the new ship, it has everything a RV in the sky would need!
