Engineers Tod "The Blaster" McQuinn not giving rank up

Just sold 1,5mil in bounty vouchers (alliance) to Tod, relogged a couple of times but no rank increase, still at rank 1 and 0%.

Anyone else having this problem?

Figured i shud increase rank with Tod since i havent been able to find any Polonium for fsd upgrade (spent over a week at the known planets that drop it)

At this rate i'm gonna ignore these rngrindeneers :-(

He doesn't accept just any bounty. Every now and then when hunting in his home system you'll get a bounty directly from him, those are the only ones he cares about.

Ok, thanks for the reply, that clarifies it a bit, though i've seen people sell alliance vouchers and get the ranks... confusing

I have heard of conflicting experiences too. Guess you have to get the old KWS in his system to get the RNG chance of getting a NPC with todd's bounty

Alliance Bountys seemed to work at start - especially for unlocking him. Now you have to hunt with ideally a KWS to get Todd's Factionbountys for increase.

How much do you have to turn in to get him from 3 to 4?

Why are they few and far between? Has anyone noticed a good system to hunt these clowns?

If you hang in supercruise (minimum speed) around the moon where his base is located, can't you get some USSs with some hostiles carrying the might Todd McQuinn's bounties?

Otherwise, how many grade 1 upgrades does it take to reach rank 3/5?

I like multicannons, especially with the introduction of the Large/Huge ones, so all my ranking up was through upgrades.

As has been said though, he'll take any old bounties to unlock him but after that only Tod McQuinn bounties to rank up with him.
