Headtracking is neat, but there are some flights where there isn't much need to look around and mouselook works fine. The problem is, if Elite detects headtracking (Opentrack in my case), it completely shuts down mouselook and pov hats, even if I press the freelook button.
There is a function in Opentrack that "zeroes" the look direction. That is, it ignores head movement and locks the view forward. But the problem is that mouselook is still disabled.
In Euro Truck Simulator, for example, there is a button that toggles headtracking and mouselook. You press a key, headtracking is disabled and you simply hold the freelook button and look around with the mouse. Good for when driving down the highway where you look forward 99% of the time and you can let your neck rest.
Is there something similar in Elite Dangerous? Is there any way to get this function without having to close the game and disable Opentrack?
