With the way my controller is set up, I have full throttle or none at all when landing gear is deployed, so I have to tap the throttle stick forward or backward and directional thrusters to stay within the speed limit. This can be somewhat cumbersome when using my faster ships, even with all the pips out of engines. Having Flight Assist off could also disable this limit for the duration that it's being used.
This could be off by default, but would be a nice option for some of us, I think.
