Tone down Frag cannons.

Frag cannons currently seem to be a perfect 'gank' tool for killing slow/unaware ships with ease. They do massive amounts of damage to both shield and hull , with low ammo count not causing a problem for a 1 or 2 kill gank setup.

I would suggest a modifier on them similar to missiles so they are far less effective against shields and only keep their current power vs the hull; they are just too good all round at the moment.

So you saw one video where they're used effectively in a PvP fight against a target they're intended to be most effective against and felt the need to go on a hysterical "nurf it plox" complaint?

They are already less effective against shields...they're kinetic weapons. Basic mechanic.

Frags are literally the easiest weapon to not be ganked by. All you need is a ship that moves more than about 1 m/s and actually has shields.

Wow your aggressive for no real reason, just say you don't agree rather than a personal attack. I been thinking this way for a while having seen many encounters with these close range killers that video just prompted me to make a post I'd considered for a while. None of my tone was hysterical you need to calm down, too much forum living twisting your melon.

As for your remark about how easy to avoid, using a faster ship than the big 3 or a trader isn't hard so I disagree.

That wasn't personal, just pointing out how drastic the overreaction is.

Big, slow ships are the exact kind of target it should be effective against, and they should thusly be prepared. Okay, good luck catching my cutter anyway, but if you're flying with shields that can be taken apart by a strong wind on any large ship it's gonna get punished.

I've had multiple gank attempts now made on me with frags in both my iCutter and 'vette, and every time - without fail - they achieve doing the least damage to my shields of any loadout. Most are lucky to discolour the outer ring a little. If you can't sit practically on the target they're useless and if you let someone sit on you that has frags, it's simply poor piloting.
