Too dangerous

It's a difficult balancing act. Most games do a terrible job. They swing too far on either direction.

I think having a player keep his bounty for a week is a great start. That makes it risky for the pirate at last. He can't just keep slipping back into clean after every interdiction. He's gotta keep looking over his shoulder, playing smart to keep ahead of the bounty hunters. At the same time, he is looking for marks. The pirate may not be able to hang out in more "civilized" space all the time. He has to stay on the fringes. It makes the pirate's gameplay much more interesting and "dangerous" as it does the trader. The trader is always paranoid.

I dont know because discouraging pirates isnt going to help imo. I dont think its as big a problem as some make it out. Most of these players want being attacked completely eradicating and want to win everytime. Thats the problem I think. Peoples mentality of expecting this game to a no lose.

I think one problem is its not worth being a pirate, and anybody doing it is doing it for fun and dont really care about the money. So they dont care about the cargo or the fine.

They should make pirating easy and more lucrative. Encourage real pirates, cos currently theres no such thing. But punishing murders more, but I dont think anyone just killing people for the fun of it care about any punishment.

There is nothing they can do to the game to stop players killing someone for nothing if thats what they want to do.

But is it really as bad as people make out or are people complaining because once every 100 hours+ they bump into someone who wants to blow them up for the hell of it.

Is it just murder that lasts a week?, it should be really.

I'm not sure if you had a point, agreeing with me, or disagreeing.
This makes no sense. I'm not crying about being killed, or are you like almost everyone else that I try to argue that safe isnt more fun assuming I must be a pirate because it far too shocking this day and age to expect a trader to want trading not win, win.
My apologies if you felt I was attacking or arguing against you personally. I was making points against what appeared to be a one sided view of how the game should be enjoyed. The fact that you agree with putting an element of danger to ALL activities is something I agree with. The current state of open is lacking this.

The point of my post was to illustrate that not everyone shares the same view of the game, or how to enjoy it.

The "interpretation" of this is different for each player. It could be said that flying with friends means you are in open or a group. Flying alone could mean doing it without wingmates or in solo. And it could be viewed that no matter what form of playstyle you choose. or where you choose to play, your actions will effect the game and others in it.

Of course, there are other interpretations that can be made. And they would be valid as well.

What I will not do is infer that another player's interpretation or their "taste" is any better or worse than mine. And your prior post seemed to belittle (Quote from you: Going solo just to grind in peace? I certainly wouldnt want to admit it if I did.) what other players may or may not do because they viewed or interpreted the game differently.

If that was not your intent I do apologize.

I have no problem with players wanting to play solo or online. The only problem I have is players thinking they should never be under threat, that this game should be win every single time, no tolerance for things to go wrong and are wanting the game changed to make it no fail. The motives behind why theses playuers are going solo. So they can sell their shields and get to their destination everytime to maximise credit per hour.

People who think this game should be about getting to A to B every single time and making as much money as possible, that wasnt frontiers vision when they made this game I'm pretty sure of that.

I'm sick of the players wanting all threat and danger removed from the game because the most important thing is cr per hour and anything that interferes with maximising that is to them gamebreaking. Its completely the wrong mentality and that is whats kills the game more than the murderers.
