too darker inside docking stations

is it just me or has it gone darker inside docking bays. controllable brightness for differing specs might be a good idea!

Been spending a lot of time in Service and Tourist station? :p

Jokes aside, can't say i have noticed any changes in that front.

I love it...gives some reasoning behind me using the lights on the T7 every time I take off or land.

I hadn't really noticed things were dark until I gave a friendly flash to an incoming T7.

thats right get FD toi change everyones brightness insted of you doing your own in options
pfft

I'm not sure that is the case...the lights still illuminate the inside of the station to the same degree they did before. The station itself is darker though...but this could all be placebo and just a result of the graphics improving with 1.3

I noticed certain stations like Anarchy were darker and believe thats the reason (and a good reason).

Anyone feel like checking a bunch out and seeing if my theory is right?

I wish it was darker, they nerfed the lighting in Beta, Stations were so much darker and industrial in Alpha (and better for it).

They constantly feel the need to fix things that aint broke :S

I haven't seen anything, but personally I'd like to see more stations lit like Anarchy stations, or with (very) dim blue lighting, almost eerie lighting.

I would love to see an anarchy or a station undergoing economic depression that has all its lights off except for some lights in the windows and what not. Fly into a completely dark mailbox, making the lights on your ship neccesary.

That is deliberate, so that you can get the full effect of Ms SJAs' docking computer. For the best results, try using the DC when the station is in shadow. It goes something like this;

You trigger the DC. Your ship boosts towards the station, making you think it is going to crash. At the last moment it slaloms through the toaster rack (in an Anaconda yet! God doesn't know how this is possible, but SJA does!), turns the ship so that it is sideway to the mail slot and then slides in, pulls a barrel roll around an exiting T9, stalks a newbie in a Sidewinder, and then (with a second to spare), makes a perfect touchdown on your pad.

I now know why the Wear and Tear costs have gone up. It is because the ground crews employed by the stations objected to having to clean up the effluent within the cockpit, and demanded higher wages!

Lol'd out loud for reals +1 :D :D

First thing I noticed logging in after 1.3 was that the hanger was darker, needed to turn on the ship lights. Gamma setting has not changed. Also noticed more mist/steam over the landing pads (but less/none in the hanger).
