Too easy to get 5 stars

Going from this.

Guys on 4 and a half stars only on the tutorial island with 6 species on it (apparently the event island had Struthiomimus, triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Ceratosaurus, brachiosaurus and Edmontosaurus). Even

That makes it seem it could be too easy to 5 star your park. I'm hoping the later islands take more into consideration.... Visibility, dinosaur well being, safety, enclosure types (popular dinosaur bonus or bonus for realistic enclosures)

Gonna be a disappointment if you can just throw a bunch of dinosaurs in and get 5 stars.

As much as I want to unlock that Isla Nublar map, I want to actually work for it and put some hours into it. I’ve not played JPOG for a long time, but I’m pretty sure it took me a while to get my stars.

I think on every island are different criteria to reach the 5 stars. You have to unlock them isle after isle, so I think it will get more and more difficult in terms of progression. That would be a normal lerning curve. Or what do you think?

Did you see how much money he had and how high the science, entertainment and security ratings are, me thinking he played a whole lot longer than 45 mins.
I also think it will become harder with every new island, because those have disaster events unlike the first island.

Being its the tutorial Island I imagine its very easy to get everything done needed to move on as it would suck to be stuck on a tutorial island for ages before you can move on. As you progress the requirements will hopefully be more involved

Frontier just attracts a weird kinds of critics and criticism.

I have never seen anywhere else that someone would complain that tutorial is easy. :D

edit: ninja'd [smile]

It is the first island or as they call it "the island tutorial", which does not have many climatic challenges and the first dinosaurs do not seem so "aggressive", at least the ceratosaurus and some other dinosaur that we can unlock at the beginning. but for that, it's not about dinosaurs eating people , this game is more than, taking care of your park and managing your safety to maintain a balance on the islands.

I suppose that in this island the only danger that we will have is the light storms affect the electricity system of fences and thus the most dangerous dinosaurs escape but on the other side the player must be prepared to send helicopters to sedate and return to their habitats to these huge animals.

regards! :)

I would think you have to do a lot more than just throw dinosaurs at the park in order to get the highest rating on any island. Since there is the three operations trees and all that, as well as looking after guest welfare, I would think those play just as much of a role in determining your each of your parks' ratings.

I think Frontier lets people play a game already started, with the dinosaurs already in the park and other ..

I assume this also and when I looked at the screenshot I noticed immediately the high levels in science, entertainment and security.
If you compare that to the gameplay of the 45 minute videos from a couple of weeks ago, it would take quite some time to achieve this, probably also unlocking buildings that will add to the island rating.

It was a lot shorter than 45 minutes, more like 5. That is what a guy on reddit said. He said he got to play for like 5 or 6 minutes.

The reason why this guy has so many stars and so much money and so on is because he was playing a save file that had already been played. A guy on Reddit said that he only got to play the game for a few minutes. He also said they loaded a previous save file. I am guessing it was like a ride at a park or carnival, there were people waiting in line to play so the play times were short. Also it doesn't make much sense to have people play from the start of the tutorial. Cause if they only had 5 minutes to play then the intro would have eaten up some of that time. He said he played a saved game. So what you are seeing is the progress from many different people playing for hours or Frontier specifically made a save file that was further in progress so people could experience the game.

Another thing I would like to point out is that this gameplay supposedly took place on Matanceros. But the island in all the pictures looks complete different to me. Notice the jungle is missing and instead we see trees like the ones we saw on Tacano. Now I would like to place single trees but I did like the dense jungle and brush we saw in the original gameplay videos.

Agreed! Plus this map should be made for all ages. Little kids shouldnt have too hard of a time here so they can learn the basics of the game and enjoy themselves and feel like they can get the stars also.

Frontier you guys have done a great job on this game by the looks of it! Me and my daughter will enjoy playing this!

I'm surprised that in the tutorial island dinosaurs are already as popular as Brachiosaurus and Triceratops. I hope to unblock them later and not have them from the beginning. It is not the same emotion to have the Chasmosaurus from the beginning and then to have to advance in the game to have the Triceratops upside down.

I do not know if I explain, it is assumed that when you start in the island tutorial you are testing your skills and should not give you so popular and expensive dinosaurs but less known others. I would have liked to meet in Matanceros: Struthiomimus - Chasmosaurus-Camarasaurus-Maiasaura-Ceratosaurus. Brachiosaurus and Triceratops for later on another island would have been better.

When I played JPOG the game gave you some starting Dinosaurs that were low rated.

Yeah I get what you mean. Start with the lesser known ones, work up to the bigger. It makes sense that way. But, I do think one or two well known dinosaurs are needed early on to hook people. Otherwise casual fans may get fed up if 2 hours in they have relatively unknown dinosaurs.
