Too many slave smuggling missions.

I don't see anything wrong with having some sort of code while still dealing in the dubious.

I also took slave transport missions, funny thinng is that thry give you slaves and you need to transport them to destination, i feel like van driver :)

I am saying this because I recently took quite a few - actually too many to remember :eek: - slave smuggling missions and reading this thread I've started feeling guilty. I just wanted a lot of credits fast in order to compensate some recent ship upgrades :rolleyes:

Well now that I am thinking of it: there should be missions to free slaves so that we slave trafickers could clean our sins :rolleyes:
Actually I think I might have seen such missions in game - I am going to check later today so that I sleep well tonight :D
 
I've got no qualm whatsoever in peddling flesh for profit. I would rather do that than get interdicted by a NPC a dozen times for carrying 2k credits worth of "data".
 
I haven't noticed an usually high amount of slave trading missions
The Unfetted Societies I have been doing business with have occasionally put missions up for slaves, regulated and Imperial
But more often than not it is Narcotics, Combat stabilisers and Weapons.

I salute you for you RP reasons not to trade slaves, however.

There were some missions like that pre 1.3. I haven't seen any since the new update. I don't see why they would remove them tho.

I can fully understand your RP stand on slave trading. I won't take missions that involve taking out traders, as a form of my own, moral role play. At the same time, I am not, or want to be; a pirate. (and no, I am not saying your chosen profession is morally wrong. Far from it, this IS a game, pirates ARE a part of this game and a good, honest carrier path within this game. ) My role play in the game, is to have said, I never did harm; to the assumed innocent. As to the abundance of slave transport missions. It is easy money, 9 times out of 10, but is it also a big risk to reputation standings, everywhere you go. So I will weigh up the risk, every time, I see, such a mission. If it is to an outpost, I'll often take the risk, but to a star-port, it is not worth the risk to rep, or the fine. I still have to perfect the, speed run to the letter box and when I get it right, with out scans, 10 times in a row, then I'll think about 'smuggling' in it purest form: As running any goods to outposts, is not considered 'smuggling, to the purists, of the game. As to the lack of other smuggling mission options? It is true, slaves seem to be the most common at the moment and there needs to be others added.
