Top 5 bounties report

Hi,

Top 5 bounties report : seems to be roughly updated every hour. But is it at fixed hours such as 2 pm in game time, then 3 pm, then 4 pm. Or 1.30 pm then 2.30 pm.
I do not find the right answer so far.

As far as I can tell the traffic report updates on the hour. I'd guess the same for the top 5 bounties.

It's also a very good way to keep track of people messing with your Systems. Due to the update being relatively quick you can rally your people and go on the prowl. Assuming they're in Open that is, which is rarely the case though.

From what I came to know, if CMDRs are messing with a faction in another system and that faction has a presence in my system, those CMDRs turn up in our bounty boards. We got a scare recently. There should be a way to know who is issuing the bounties.

We end up doing a complex bit of algebra.....

If commander x has a bounty of y in a system where factions a b and c are present, and a bounty of z in a system where factions a and c are present, then his bounty with faction a is x-z type thing. If you can't locate a surge in bounties/crimes in your system its probably occuri ng elsewhere.
