Top 5 most wanted animals

I'd like to share my top 5 most wanted animals.

#1. California sea lion - one of the most popular, if not most popular 'pinniped', (seals/sea lions, walruses, etc.) and popular in zoos and aquariums. A must have in any zoo game.

#2. Cougar - A popular large cat in zoos, a zoo game isn't complete without a cougar included.

#3. Birds in general such as birds of prey, tropical birds, etc. Self explanitory.

#4. Moose - A large cervid, and iconic animal. Popular in North America and Europe and would be a fantastic addition.

#5. CAPYBARA! - How can we go without these little guys? I mean they're so cute and would make a great species bonus enrichment for other South American animals.

Sound off in the comments what you would all like to see? Thank you for reading!

A popular large cat in zoos, a zoo game isn't complete without a cougar included.
I would like to see the cougar, but I must say this is a very American view on it. They aren't especially widespread outside of the United States and certainly don't fit the "globally quintessential" criteria. In other words, for most of the world their absence probably isn't very notable (again, I'm not saying I wouldn't want them included - I definitely do - just that they aren't as important as your post implies). I feel similarly about the moose - often touted as "essential" or "iconic" but their zoo presence is middling at best.

I think almost everyone agrees about birds, and the prevailing theory is that they're coming soon, so you might not have to wait too long for those.

Likewise the capybara is the single most highly-requested species at this time. I'm not sure exactly how it can be fit in at this point, but I'm certain it's surely to come at some stage as well.

#1. Fallow deer - deer are criminally underrepresented and this one would be the most versatile, while still being quite unique (take that white tailed deer)

#2. Eurasian Lynx - like deer, small cats are also heavily underrepresented and this one would give us an icon of european zoos, that als stretches out through most of northern asia, another underrepresented region

#3. De Brazas Monkey - I really really really want a guenon in this game, and while i preferd the roloway or diana monkey for the longest time, the de brazas monkey would just be a better fit, because of its many unique characteristics (aquatic, largest, monogam, aggressive towards other guenons, very unique conservation effort) and if we have more then one guenon in the game, i hope this one is one of them

#4. A Bovine, top runners for this spot would be the asian Gaur, Sulawesi Anoa, the african forest buffalo or the water buffalo. We need more ungulates in general and adding another cow into the mix would really milk the competition

#5. Tasmanian Devil - most of the time i dont really like to go with the most obvious choices, as i much prefer the more "unexciting" animals that come with the packs (my favourite animals from the dlc have been the dallsheep, the reindeer and the dhole. I still love the other animals, but these ones tickled my fancy of versatile filler animals) but this one is a must. Australia wont be complete until we also have a wallaby and the emu, but if i could only choose one out of the three, im sure as hell gonna choose the smallest apex predator of any continent

Fun game, never really thought about it besides my topspot before. Really gave me some inside into my own opinions and preferances

1. California Sea Lion
2. Capybara
3. Gibbon species
4. Tasmanian Devil
5. Two-toed Sloth

Its super tought to choose just 5 when I am missing so many. :F

Pretty much from my meta list submission, since I like lists and generally put things in order

1. Capybara
2. Wombat (prefer common but either of the hairy nosed will work for me as well)
3. Asian Small Clawed Otter (strongly prefer this, but if we got the North American River Otter instead I'd be content. We just need another otter)
4. Moose
5. Leopard ( Amur preferred but African will work)

At least we have mods for 4 of these 5, if they never get made as long as they're up to date, I at least have that for Sandbox.

Stole this from NicholasLionRider on his discord

Top 5 animals we need officially for rigs:
1. California Sea Lion
2. Gibbon/Siamang
3. Sifaka
4. Capybara
5. Baboon

Top 5 clone animals we need just so the community doesn't lose our ****:
1. Black Rhino
2. Dromedary Camel
3. American Alligator
4. Mountain Lion

California Sea Lion
Dromedary
Sloth
Alpine Ibex

1. European brown bear
2. Kamchatka brown bear
3. Syrian brown bear
4. sloth bear
5. spectacled bear

It's very hard to choose because there are a lot of animals missing

1.Japanese Serow
2. Maned Wolf[
3. Fossa
4. Wolverine
5. Serval

1. European brown bear
2. Kamchatka brown bear
3. Syrian brown bear
4. sloth bear
5. spectacled bear

I think we are lacking bears!
Of course this was more like a joke :D
It was a hard pick but I would go with these 5:

1. Capybara
2. red deer or fallow deer
3. lynx
4. any baboon
5. any leopard

My 5 most wanted animals are basically 4/5 from Europe:
  1. Red Deer
  2. One species of Lynx (Iberian or Eurasian)
  3. Alpine Ibex
  4. Moose
And then as the last one I'll throw in the Capybara, but also a sea lion, but also a gibbon, but also a maned wolf, but also a baboon, i can continue for hours... 😓

1. Leopard (ideally African)
2. Nile Crocodile (if it isn't too similar to the Saltwater Crocodile)
3. African Rock Python
4. African Forest Elephant (with the species already in the game being renamed to African Savanna Elephant)
5. Dromedary camel

Amur leopard
Hamadryas baboon
Capybara
California sea lion
American alligator

The first four are pretty much set in stone, but the last one rotates. On some days it could be the red river hog, grey crowned crane, Matschie's tree kangaroo, or emu.

Like some other people here, my top 4 stays pretty consistent, but the other spot can fluctuate.
  1. Tasmanian Devil
  2. Wombat (any)
  3. Emu
  4. Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
The fifth spot fluctuates between things like Asian Small-clawed Otter, Crested Porcupine, Maned Wolf, Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby, Fallow Deer, Little Penguin, North Island Brown Kiwi, Fossa etc.
