Was hasres hunting in my DBS with a newfound buddy in a python and things were going fantastic. We were discussing just about anything, but when we got to the topic of loadouts we both realized something. Neither of us had tried torpedoes.
We rush back to the nearest star port and my buddy loads up two C2 torpedo launchers and we head back out to the hazres for combat testing. We strip a pirate python's shields and my wingman lets loose a salvo of torpedoes. they miss spectacularly. No sweat, I knock out its thrusters and we try again with the target dead in the black. Solid flat hit with two torpedoes on the soft armor only did about 3% hp each.
I understand that guided missiles do little to prevent them from being spammed, but why do full out torpedoes do so little damage if they're larger and slower than a missile, and why does a C2 torpedo not give a bigger torpedo, only more of the C1 torpedoes?
