Why are torpedoes so expensive? Are they like a one-hit KO? Are they even worth using for 15k a pop?

Torpedoes may be useful if you are focused on attacking big ships, like the Anaconda.
Torpedoes are worth their 15k CR. Used correctly, they take out the big boys with ease.
