Touch controller no longer working in game

I have just returned to Elite but my game pad has broken, trying to use the Touch controllers but after selecting the Touch controls from the drop down menu in the controls option menu they have no functionality at all in the actual game. The seem to work fine navigating the main menus but as soon as i go into the game they do nothing at all.

Any help would be appreciated to get them working.

I understand that, but I get no stick movement and no buttons work what so ever, they used to have a context menu when you hold down a button but now nothing at all.

There is a default control setting for touch controllers, have you tried to change it to that? If they were not activated when you started up, it might have defaulted to K&M

I've made sure that the touch controller is active, and that the control option is oculus touch. I try to switch other controls, and that's still the result.
