Would u like a CQC training - unranked - tournament mode with no xp/credits/stats gain, where u can fill a room with friends to play fun or train/match ?

This is a pretty common feature in pvp games, regardless of it name. Imho CQC would greatly benefit from it especially since Frontier want it to be competitive and fun in the same time.

Let explain a bit if the lines above didn't instantly convinced you (which should be the case if you already played competitive games in your life :D).
First, please excuse my low english skill, i hope i wont make your eyes bleed that much.

So what can such a mode add to the game, is it feasible and is there negative points ?

The two main points of an unranked mode are :
* Possibility to play with friends. It sounds so obvious to me that i don't find words to explain. Having fun times with trusted players also.

* Possibility to do premade matchs and training : here come the competitive side. Assuming Frontier is willing to make CQC competitive.
It wont be any CQC "Esport" if players are not able to hard train and make their own matchs/tournament. Because you cant only rely on online ladder to progress. If u want your team to have top stats, u cant sacrifice victory to try new strategies, new player ... If the CQC skill level raise as intended by Frontier, "competitors" will need a way to test maps, loadouts, tactics and stuff. Try, repeat, optimize ... and try again, repeat, optimize ... and go to Korea, win Global Elite League ... Oh wait :p
And more importantly : competition is not a pricing matter, it's about competitors. It's about how much players like to play their game competitively. And for that they need to be able to confront themselves, not only on ladder, but also on little to big external tournaments/events. Every single game standing out as "competitive" allow that.

I can only guess about technical feasibility, but needed changes seems (relatively) minors : interface adjustment, possibility to full rooms, and maybe the most problematic : decide wich ship and stuff players will have access to. This is a game design point, and since we don't have many informations on how Frontier will manage their priced tournament, we cant know atm if something is already planned about tournament specifications.

About negative points, well ... It would make haters hate more ?
Seriously, a mode where you don't gain anything cant be abused and have no impact on ladder/player stat.
One can argue that this will divide Elite players like private groups did, reduce the amount of team playing ladder and stuff. i think it's the contrary : it can be a soft way to begin CQC with friends, and serious teams will be more motivated since they really trained.

Well, if you think an unranked mode deserve to be, please vote :D
