TOXIC WASTE - Why by it...

Why do we have to buy toxic waste.?

I suggest that the stations should pay US, to take the toxic waste.
I used to dump a lot of waste when I played Frontier, usually flying low above the ground and watching it smash against the ground. How many people must I have contaminated, maimed and killed. Oh what fun was to be had.
I want to be paid to dump toxic waste in space; I want to dump it within an atmosphere.

It's another element to add to the game for those like myself, who are slightly unhinged.

Are there plans to add motion to canisters to allow them to move at the velocity and direction they are dropped. It was possible in Frontier.
I'd like to smash a few dozen against the hull of a space station (even is doesn't damage the station).

More darker play required... MUHAHahaaaa

I was thinking about how they should/could implement "waste disposal" as a kind-of profession, I mean, why not?
Someone has to get rid of all the stuff, this is a serious matter in real space operations, it would be nice to see in the game at a later point.
(Not the highest priority atm, obviously.)

Would be fairly easy (and of course environmentally responsible) for every commander to be able to contribute as well. Every time we jump to a new system we could just jettison the waste into the star that's right in front of us. Simple, effective incineration!

Yep!
Also, new missions and even some critical situations could evolve from that:
"Solo Orbiter waste disposal crisis, infections rate is rising significantly, medicine stocks running low, public order compromised."

:D

Hah, yeah that would be good! And of course to satisfy the sadists, how about missions to poison planetary food supplies with toxic waste :p

Another reminder of how F:E2 still has more than E:D.
I understand that things like planetary landings must not be easy to implement, but things like this...

Try to stay positive and enjoy the good things of ED in the time being...
While I agree that sooo much is still missing, the game still doesn't cease to amaze me.
Also, I have faith in the dev team. So far they worked really hard (patches every day, release on time, OK communications, ...) and I don't see this changing.

One thing to remember: This is not a "grab dem moneyz 'n hit it!" game like you can expect from Ubisoft (worst) and EA (2nd worst...), this project is done by people who stand behind it 100%.
I don't worry. If at all, I might be impatient sometimes... but good things need time.

When "pushing" cargo containers they do move. They stop eventually though. Would rather want them to keep flying away so you have, again, take care when scooping. But i know that a large part of the community dont want that cause it gets too hard.

They do that? I never noticed.
Not very happy about that. While I am not a part of this "look how elite I am by wanting the game to be frustratingly hard and unfair to feel awesome" gang, I don't see the point in this.
Too silly to pick things up without bumping into other containers?
Your bad...

Or the containers have 'lil thrusters installed to stabilize their position :D

Have you ever dropped an open packet of ball bearings on a tiled floor? I'm picking one of the FD designers has ;)

I agree. And drop it into the local star.

Commanders should be fined for this :)
