Hardware & Technical Track IR setup in ED?

No problem... What im going to do is create a video..
Firstly there is a new profile coming that will sort a lot of the problems out so don't worry.
There is a thread that shows what to do...
essentially you need to turn off some of the axis and pick the ED profile... as I say probably easier if I grab a screen of the setup on the Track IR software...
Depending on the results you may need to make changes ingame and invert some access's... but it gets easier!!
Two tics and I'll get some snaps..

At the moment its unplayable it zooms in out left right at a twitch of a muscle
OK Step 1.
1. Click on the + symbol to create a new profile give it a good name like "elite dangerous"
Step 2.
2. Click on the titles tab, scroll down until you find elite dangerous in the list. It should be there.. if not you need to update the games list (button at top right of panel).
Select it, then in the box next to it (Drop down) select your profile name "elite dangerous"
Step 3.
3. Go back to the profiles tab, and here we are unticking some options..
Untick Roll X and Y (see picture)
Also untick Mirror and tick Invert.
Step 4.
Save the profile so you can load it before you load elite.
That sir hopefully will be it. .GOOD LUCK.. you can then alter sensitivity in the game controls if need be.

I just noticed when I look left it goes right and visa versa have you any idea how to correct this?
The in game options look left right toggle has no effect
Same as the track IR software inverse toggle has no effect too

its not ED its the IR software no inverse on any axis

Same here, I've seen videos of people using TrackIR so it must be possible, but I have the same problem - left/right are inverted and the options don't effect the TrackIR control. Also In/Out are reversed.
You can do this in the TrackIR software as far as I know

Not sure where you'll find that option though as I don't have tIR.
The Track IR software does nullify the options in ED so the invert options in game don't seem to make a difference to the track IR.
Open the software, go to your profile and in the white area at the bottom you can pick each axis in the drop down and invert to your own tastes!!
I'm confused as to why people are finding TrackIR difficult. I received my TrackIR a week ago.
In the TrackIR software create a new profile. Call it something like ED or Elite Dangerous. The only changes I made in the settings were:

Disable x,y,z movement
Then switch to the game tab within TrackIR profile, scroll down to the listing that says Elite Dangerous and set the profile for the game to be the profile just just set up above I.e. The one called ED etc
Within about 2 minutes of using TrackIR in game it was natural and a big benefit. So if you are struggling why not disable x,y,z for now while you acclimatize to it.
Note: I have the Track Clip Pro
Edit: I don't mean to sound cocky. I just have my seven month old daughter trying to take my iPad hence limited time to type.

I've been looking to get one, but I don't wish to pay £129 for the std version, and the only other place I found (for £119) doesn't currently have any in stock. I almost bought one from eBay the other day, but my browser had logged me out, and by the time I'd logged in the auction had ended. So, if anyone is looking to sell theirs, give me a shout.
